Greening Of America

There are two big issues commonly discussed today. Global Warming is at the forefront of news stories on television and in print. We all need to do our part to support the environment. Another topic of discussion in the news is the American way of life and the decline of the middle-class American and being “pro American”.
If you look at both issues the best way to be “Green” is to be “Pro American”. Whenever possible purchase only American made products. By spending your hard earned money on American made products you are lowering your carbon footprint and keeping your money here at home. Think about it, when you buy a product made elsewhere that item has to be shipped hundreds if not thousands of miles. All of this shipping adds to fuel emissions, which add to the global warming problems. Each and everyone of us needs to do all that we can to help in the fight against global warming. When you need fruits and vegetables, go to your local farmers market, when you do that you are cutting your carbon footprint. If the produce you are buying is locally grown, you are keeping your money local, lowering your footprint and that all contributes to helping the global warming problem.

So do your part, take baby steps to helping global warming, be pro American, buy locally grown produce and American made products!
